We created this tasting workshop to meet an ever-growing demand from amateur-connoisseurs wishing to learn more about specialty coffee. It’s an experience that you can also offer to a loved one who loves coffee. You will discover the fascinating history of coffee, the producing countries and how the product is grown and transformed to arrive in our cups, you will also see the diversity of aromas that we can find in a cup which come from so many different terroirs located all around the tropical belt.

Today, the concept of specialty coffee is developing and becoming known, until now considered as a convenience product whose sole purpose was to wake us up in the morning, coffee has gradually won its place within French gastronomy and great chefs use it in their starred restaurants. We are also seeing the emergence of independent coffee shops offering quality coffees and unique experiences around this popular drink.

Specialty coffee is distinguished from industrial coffee because it meets precise and rigorous specifications: altitude, soil quality, shade, hand harvesting, maturation, rigorous selection of beans, artisanal roasting to develop aromas and flavors, guaranteeing complex and unique flavors. By standing out for its quality and traceability, it has managed to seduce the most demanding palates, even finding its place in the kitchens of gourmet restaurants.

Great chefs, sensitive to the quality and authenticity of products, now integrate specialty coffee into their menus, sometimes as a subtle ingredient in their dishes, or by working on food-coffee pairings during desserts and at the end of a meal. This new approach highlights the aromatic richness and complexity of coffee, which, like wine, reveals terroirs and varied taste notes. Specialty coffee is therefore becoming an integral element of French gastronomy, bringing a dimension of refinement and sensory experience that more and more people are discovering and appreciating.
